Gatwick “drone” incident – 2 July 2017

This is a fantastic video published by NATS (National Air Traffic Services) showing the consequences of possible illegal, criminal and irresponsible flying of a drone in controlled airspace. Unfortunately, it would appear that a drone was not positively identified as the unidentified object in the air and air traffic controllers understandably acted in the interests of safety. This would not have been an incident involving a commercial and CAA approved drone operator and just acts to increase drone phobia and paranoia.  Nevertheless, Flying Horse Imaging utterly condemns illegal and irresponsible drone flying without reservation and only flies in accordance with its CAA permissions and within the law.
